Oven Baked Chicken

This Chicken is easy peasy lemon squeezy! Seriously!  And it tastes fabulous!  There comes a time in a person's life where they realize that Bisquick can be a cook's best friend :)  This literally takes minutes to put together and bakes up in the oven while you prepare a side dish! I probably make this once a month.  Here's what you'll need:
Oven Baked Chicken
*Recipe adjusted from Bisquick
Print Recipe

1-2 Tablespoons Butter ($0.18)
2/3 Cup Original Bisquick Mix ($0.33)
1 1/2 Teaspoons Paprika ($0.15)
1 Teaspoon salt ($0.01)
1 Teaspoon Italian Seasoning ($0.10)
1/4 Teaspoon Pepper ($0.01)
3 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast Halves (about 1.5 lbs) ($2.98)

*Total Cost to Make $3.76 -WOW!!  This does not include sides but makes 6 tasty servings of your main dish!

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F, and melt the butter in the baking dish in the oven while it preheats. Take the dish out when the butter is melted.  In a small bowl mix the Bisquick, paprika, salt, Italian seasoning, and pepper.

If using full sized chicken breasts slice them in half to make 6 thinner breasts.
Dip the chicken into the Bisquick mix and cover both sides.  Place in the baking dish and bake in the 425 degree oven 25 minutes, flip the chicken, and cook an additional 15-25 minutes or until chicken juices are clear when cut.  Thicker pieces may take longer, and thinner ones shorter so keep an eye on it your first time.
Serve it up and enjoy!  My kids LOVE this one!  They don't leave a bite on their plate.
